Attached please find the position description for our USTA/Midwest Section search for five Tennis Service Representative positions.

Position Title:  Tennis Service Representative

Reports to:  Director of Community Tennis Development 

Purpose of Position:
Increase participation in tennis by promoting, developing and servicing tennis programs in a designated geographic area by establishing strong relationships with the local delivery system including tennis and non-tennis facilities, organizations and volunteers. 

Major Duties:
• Meet with tennis facility personnel to assess their needs and as necessary, provide awareness, education, marketing materials and support for increasing tennis participation at the local level.
• Coordinate area wide promotions designed to increase the number of new players and frequent players within designated area.
• Provide local marketing ideas, strategies and PR support to tennis facilities
• Promote and develop key national and section specific programs in designated geographic areas.
• Recruit, educate and retain volunteers who coordinate tennis programs and activities.
• Represent the USTA/Midwest Section in designated areas by attending, coordinating and/or assisting in workshops, events or meetings designed to strengthen the local delivery system.
• Submit updated goals and activity reports to the USTA/Midwest Section Designee as required.
• Work in a cooperative manner with USTA/Midwest Section, District and National staff.
• Actively promote tennis opportunities for multicultural participants, instructors and volunteers

Key Performance Indicators:
The USTA/Midwest Section will designate KPIs according to selected Strategic Priorities (Examples include: number of site visits, increase in marketing support, increase in Recreation & Parks tennis programming, increase in number of Community Tennis Associations, increase in number of USA Team Tennis Youth, USA Team Tennis on College Campus, USA School Tennis and After School Tennis program participants, increase in number of trained volunteers and instructors, timely and accurate reports as required, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibilities: None directly

Internal Relationships: The Tennis Service Representative reports to the USTA/Midwest Section's Director of Community Tennis Development. The Tennis Service Representative will work in cooperation with USTA National, USTA/Midwest Section and District staff.
External Relationships:
The Tennis Service Representative will work in conjunction with the USPTA, PTR, TIA, NIRSA, community leaders, local volunteers, local tennis facility owners and managers, Park and Recreation leaders, USA School Tennis and After School Tennis Administrators, USA Team Tennis Youth and Collegiate Administrators, CTA Administrators, and other organizations who share similar interests.

Travel Demands:
• Extensive travel in designated geographic areas.
• Local, District, Sectional and National meetings and workshops as needed and assigned.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong administrative and organizational, skills.
• Computer experience in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
• Presentation skills, particularly to community groups.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly motivated self-starter, enthusiastic personality with desire to promote and grow TENNIS.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Must be able to travel, work weekends, and live in the geographic area for which you are applying.
• Tennis background preferred, USPTA/PTR certification a plus
