"Aces for Kids" Request for Proposal deadline is May 31, 2006

April 19, 2006 10:20 PM

Hello All:

The USTA Public Affairs Committee and the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation need your help to spread the word about Round II of the Aces for Kids RFP (Request For Proposal).  The application deadline for this Round is Wednesday, May 31, 2006.

Aces for Kids RFP

Grants of up to $25,000 are available in a competitive process to not-for-profit organizations (preference will be given to 501(c)(3) organizations) to implement Aces for Kids across the country.  Aces strives to promote healthy lifestyles and combat childhood obesity by providing disadvantaged, underserved children the opportunity to learn to play tennis and improve their academic skills in a structured format.

It is our hope that Communications and Marketing/Public Relations staff (and volunteers) on both Section and District levels will get this RFP in the hands of potential grantees and strongly encourage them to apply.  The Review Committee is particularly interested in seeing applications from South Carolina, Washington State, Alaska, Missouri, Tennessee, North Dakota, North Carolina, and Kentucky but all applications are welcomed.

I would be happy to answer any questions you and/or applicants may have about Aces for Kids and the RFP.  Many thanks on behalf of the Public Affairs Committee and the USTA T&EF!
