New USA League - Generation XY

April 8, 2004 11:26 PM

Hello Wisconsin Community Tennis Associations and Tennis enthusiasts!

Summer is just around the corner, so get those racquets out!

Steve Wise, Collegiate Coordinator, along with Peg Hanna, USA League Tennis Coordinator, are (writing this news article) to make you aware of a new division in USA League Tennis: Generation XY Mixed Doubles.

This 19-29 year-old age division is a great way for players to play with players at their own age and abilities. The USTA/Midwest Section Generation XY Division allows players of different skill levels to play together in a younger age bracket.

The teams will consist of two mixed doubles teams with a minimum of five (5) players/team. The NTRP level in which you may participate will be a combined rating of 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, or 10.5.  Each mixed doubles team's combined NTRP ratings should not exceed the level entered.

A Sectional Championship will be held in Indianapolis, IN July 23-25, 2004. This is the same weekend as the professional tennis RCA Championship finals!
