The Wisconsin Tennis Association congratulates Nick Allen, Green Bay, Shannon Etten, Appleton and Bridget Bellisimo, Middleton for their success and participation in this exciting event.

For the third and unprecedented year, the Midwest Section won the tournament, bringing the traveling trophy again to our Section. Nick, Shannon and Bridget, each paired with a player from another District and played a significant role in prevailing in their flights. Nick played #1 boys, with 10-2 record. In response to the high standard of excellence and achievements among Wisconsin District junior players, the Wisconsin Tennis Association is excited to announce the restructuring of the Competition Training Center, Jr. Excellence and Jr. Development programs for the 2009-2010 season. In an effort to tie all the programs together and to promote excellence and participation in the 3 age categories (boys and girls ages 8-12, 10-14, 15-18) all programs will be administered by the WTA under the Competition Training Center name.

The new CTC format will include satellite site rotation to Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton and the Fox Cities. Top coaches around the state will “guest pro” and address and teach specialized topics. Players will be able to select a minimum number of Saturdays in their age group.

The WTA anticipates growth, participation and enthusiasm in the commitment to the development and progression of our junior players.

Congratulations again to Nick, Shannon and Bridget.
