The Wisconsin Tennis Association in partnership with the USTA Midwest Section sponsored the USTA School Tennis In-Service on Friday, March 19. Held at Center Court Tennis Club in Fond du Lac, the in-service brought 26 physical education instructors representing 20 Wisconsin schools to participate and be trained in the health, wellness and skills of tennis in the PE curriculum. In addition to the training, all participating schools received 20 racquets, 2 dozen foam balls, one mini portable net, a curriculum guide and a USTA Organizational membership.

USTA School Tennis has brought the joy of tennis to millions of students in schools across the United States since 1985. The USTA is dedicated to support and teach youth the sport of tennis, to gain self confidence, and to learn sportsmanship and the habits of an active, healthy lifestyle.

Special thanks to Rick Vetter and Bill Van Lieshout, USPTA professionals, who conducted the training session with skill, passion, professionalism and fun! Thanks as well to John Frausto for hosting the event at Center Court Racquet Club. And most importantly, thanks to all the teachers and schools for your commitment to bringing the sport of tennis to your youth, your schools and your communities!
