WISCONSIN SENIOR OLYMPICS
STATE TENNIS TOURNEY 2008

Tennis is one of over 20 sports in the statewide annual competition leading in alternate years for qualification in the National Senior Games. 2008 is the qualification year the Nationals to be held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA between August 1 and 15, 2009.   Participants may take part in any of the sports up to five for the same registration fee plus facility fee in some sports. The registration fee for the state Senior Olympics includes the Opening Ceremony Dinner as well as a T shirt.

A large vote of gratitude to Dee Berglin, who coordinated the tennis tournament last year even though living in Florida.  Many thanks to the Pleasant Valley Tennis Club for hosting the tournament the last few years, and to the WTA Recreation Committee for support in publicizing the tournament.

The new tennis coordinator is Carl Tyggum, for this tournament, to beheld for the first time at the Moorland Park Tennis Center, 2900 163rd Street, New Berlin, Wisconsin (on the west side of  Milwaukee) and will be held indoors.

Please help in spreading the word about this age group tournament, which includes singles, doubles and mixed doubles for men and women.
