Allyson Mayeux - Sept 2007 Volunteer of the Month

Allyson Mayeux has been the driving force for the enhancement and growth of tennis in Marshfield. Her contribution to the game of tennis as a community leader, event planner, tennis association officer, junior team tennis leader and organizer and, of course, player have been remarkable. The Wisconsin Tennis Association recognizes and applauds her many activities that have increased participation and growth of the game of tennis in Marshfield.

Contributions to local tennis include:

  • Marshfield Tennis Association Secretary, 2005-present
  • NJTL of Marshfield, Co-director, 2003-present
  • Organized first teams for USTA Junior Team Tennis in Marshfield, 2007
  • Helped organize USTA Coaching Workshop, 2007
  • Helped with “Welcome Back to Tennis” event held in Marshfield, June, 2007
  • Assistant coach, Columbus Catholic Middle School Tennis (volunteer position)
  • Head coach, Columbus Catholic High School Girls’ Tennis
  • Head coach, Columbus Catholic High School Boys’ Tennis, 2005-06
  • Member, Marshfield Ladies’ Tennis Team, 1999-present

Contributions to Wisconsin Tennis Association include:

  • Worked with USTA representative, Erika Wentz, to organize Junior Team Tennis in Marshfield this year.
  • Worked with USTA representative on promoting tennis in Marshfield through the coaches’ workshop and the “Welcome Back” event.
