Gratitude from Grant Recipients
The Wisconsin Tennis Association annually awards grants to communities and organizations throughout the state to grow and supplement tennis programs.   The 2010 season has shown significant growth, participation and commitment to the sport of tennis and the gratitude of Wisconsin District grant recipients is appreciated with messages and thanks from many communities.
“Our Block Party was attended by over 100 adults and 50 children on a cool, overcast day.   Platteville WI is a city of about 5,000 townspeople, and 5000 UW-P students (most are gone home for the summer).  This was our first Block Party, and had to be postponed until July due to the reconstruction of our three courts, and adding a 4th court with a USTA grant.
Thank you for our grant.  The advertising, banners, and Run of Show sample were all very helpful.  Rodney Schroeder, Prince, contacted us to participate in our event, and we look forward to that next year.  Students at UW-P are forming a Tennis Club, and we hope to include them in our 2011 Block Party.”
