Gates Mills' native Lauren Davis has joined the all-star lineup for WTT Smash Hits presented by GEICO, set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at Public Hall in Cleveland. Sir Elton John and Billie Jean King co-host the one night charity event, which also includes former world No. 1s Andy Roddick, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova and Amelie Mauresmo, along with Coco Vandeweghe and Jan-Michael Gambill.

Davis won events to qualify for the Main Draw of two Grand Slam tournaments in 2011, the Australian Open and the US Open. The 17-year-old American, who turned pro earlier this year, finished 2010 as the No. 3 ranked junior in the world after winning the Girls' 18 singles title at the prestigious Orange Bowl event. She has won four ITF singles titles, including two this year in Atlanta and Buffalo. Since joining the WTA Tour in January 2011, Davis has already climbed to No. 280 in singles.

Captained by King and John, the players will form two teams and play a match using the World TeamTennis (WTT) coed team format.
