Welcome New Cup Team Coach

Daniel Bickett currently serves as the Men’s and Women’s Assistant Head Tennis Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Bickett has been in that role since the 2007-2008 season after playing for the Warhawks his freshman season (2006-2007). Bickett originally hails from Houston, TX where he trained at Copperfield Racquet and Health Club. Bickett was an avid USTA member as a junior competing in many tournaments and advancing to the champs division in the USTA Texas Section.  Bickett got his start coaching tennis at Copperfield Racquet Club at the age of 16. In 2008 Bickett received his USPTA certification, and in 2010 he was honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as the Women’s Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year. At UW-Whitewater Bickett has had the pleasure of coaching 6 athletic All-Americans and 3 academic All-Americans. Outside of Whitewater Bickett has served as Head Racquets Professional at Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park, IL and Ivanhoe Country Club in Mundelein, IL. In addition Bickett has also served as a tennis professional at many clubs including most recently Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, WI, College Park Athletic Club in Bannockburn, IL, and Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, IL. Bickett received his bachelor’s degree in Finance and his master’s degree in Health, Human Performance, and Recreation from UW-Whitewater in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
